Nepal Army is celebrating its foundation day today with various programs.
The Army has been celebrating its founding day for two decades by organizing various
programs across the country on the occasion of Mahashivaratri.
On the occasion of Shivaratri and Army Day today, President Bidya Devi Bhandari will be the chief guest at a special function to be organized at Sainik Manch Tundikhel.
President Bhandari is the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Army.
History shows that the Nepal Army has often been socialized in the context of religion and
culture. The Nepal Army’s logo, which contains a trident and a damaru, a musical instrument, further emphasizes the blend of religion and philosophy.
The Sainik Manch will conduct a variety of cultural programs on the occasion of the day,
including a parade, artillery display, and drill.
