Kathmandu, February 28
Chairman of the CPN-Maoist Center Prachanda is scheduled to hold a press conference on
Monday.
The Maoist Center Chair, who has been heavily criticized for his allegedly ambiguous role in the ratification process of the US grant Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), invited the
journalist on Wednesday afternoon, for the first time after the US grant project got ratified by the parliament.
Although Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Maoist Center Chairman Prachanda had
written to the MCC office in the United States promising to ratify the mega-project within five months, the Maoist Center Chairman had recently started criticizing the compact.
A street protest against the MCC was also staged by the Maoist Center.
Prachanda is going to hold a press conference on the latest political developments.
