House of Representatives meeting postponed till Sunday

Kathmandu, February 25

The House of Representatives meeting has been postponed till 1 pm on Sunday, at the request of the government.

Following the posting of the notice, the meeting was postponed. Dilendra Badu, the law
minister, had requested to meet with Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota and to postpone the
meeting.

The MCC agreement, which was tabled in Parliament last Sunday, was scheduled to be
discussed in Parliament on Thursday.

However, at the request of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, the parliament was postponed at the last minute.

Parliament meeting scheduled for 1 pm today has been postponed at the request of the
government.

The United States has set a deadline of Monday for the MCC agreement to be passed.
