Kathmandu, February 23
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has reached Khumaltar to meet with CPN (Maoist Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.
Deuba, who reached Khumaltar in the morning to meet Dahal, has discussed the US grant
Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).
Deuba has recently intensified talks with political party leaders as the deadline for passing the MCC approaches.
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Deuba met KP Sharma Oli, chairman of the main opposition party CPN (UML). The meeting between Deuba and Oli is viewed as meaningful.
On Tuesday evening, he discussed the issue with the CPN-UML’s top leaders, including
chairman KP Sharma Oli.
The meeting between Deuba and Oli is viewed as meaningful.
Deuba has met with UML Chairman Oli after finding dual roles of the Maoist Centre and Unified Socialist even though his priority is to keep the ruling coalition intact.
