The District Administration Office has begun distributing e-passports.

After the district started distributing e-passports, the problem of residents having to travel to Kathmandu was resolved.

According to Assistant Chief District Officer Kashiram Gaire, the administration initially supplied services to service receivers at a pace of 25 individuals six days a week, but that number has already climbed to 45 persons per day.

According to him, the passport has already been distributed twice by the office. Because of a lack of staff and inefficiency among the staff, it is difficult to work at first, and thus less service is delivered to the service recipients. ”As the effectiveness of the employees has increased, the number of service recipients has progressively increased, and the service has begun to flow,” he said.

He stated that by boosting the staff’s strength, plans have been formed to give service from two stations.

Prior to the advent of the e-passport, 70 to 80 service recipients visited the office every day for passport service.

Despite the fact that the online system has been set up so that people can come to the
administration and acquire other services by filling out a form online from home, Gary claims that the general public does not have access to it.
