According to a central bank analysis, inflation will continue to grow in the coming months. Consumers claimed that there was a discrepancy between market inflation and the National Bank’s monthly inflation data.

The NRB’s Inflation Expectations Survey, on the other hand, predicts an average inflation rate of 8% over the following three months.

The Nepal Rastra Bank’s Economic Research Department performed a survey in 17 cities’ market areas, with the second quarter of the Fiscal Year 2074 BS and 2079 BS as the aim.

In a survey of 720 participants, 91.9 percent predicted that consumer goods and service prices would increase in the following three months. In the same way, 97.1 percent believe that prices for services and goods would rise in the coming year.

In both the current fiscal year’s budget and the NRB’s monetary policy, the government has established a goal of keeping inflation below 6.5 percent. However, inflation has been 7.11 percent in the last five months. The survey results, on the other hand, predict that the next three months will see an average of 8% growth. In comparison to the survey conducted in September, prices of pulses, nuts, sugar, chillies, fish, meat, dairy products, ghee, oil, drinks, cigarettes, hotels, restaurants, and land, and house prices are projected to slow or remain flat.
