Russia has announced its troop withdrawal from Ukraine. Despite ongoing military drills, Russia’s defense ministry has stated to withdraw some troops from the border, according to the BBC.
Ukraine has stated that it has no faith in Russia. Ukraine has stated that it will not trust Russian forces unless they are seen leaving the border.
According to the BBC, there is no indication that NATO has pulled Russian forces out of the country.
After stationing soldiers at Ukraine’s border, Russia is poised to invade the country. Russia has been roundly chastised by countries, especially the United States. Russia has stated that it is planning an invasion of Ukraine, and the US has advised its people to leave the country.
“Similar, unfounded charges involving Russia’s intelligence have been made more than once,” Russia said in a statement released on Friday. Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, has likewise stated that he does not want to go to war.
