Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JBR has said that the impeachment had to be registered after the court failed to clear the deadlock.
A total of 98 lawmakers from the five-party alliance have filed an impeachment motion against Jabra on Sunday alone. Talking to media persons after the registration of the proposal, Chief Whip of the Maoist Center, Dev Gurung, said, “We have not been able to fulfill the mandate of the court.” We have not been able to administer fair justice and establish a clear image of the judiciary. ”
He said that Chief Justice Jabra had not given a way out even though he had wanted the court issue to be resolved from within the court for a long time. “There is an opportunity to exit, there is an opportunity to pave the way. We have also requested in various ways that there is a possibility to open the deadlock,” he said. “We are not ready to release the deadlock. We were forced to take this step.”
