Kathmandu, February 9
Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand and Finance Minister Janardan Sharma on Wednesday discussed the budget for the local elections.
During the discussion held at the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Chief Secretary of the Policy, Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Division, Dr. Bhishma Kumar Bhusal informed.
According to joint Secretary Dr. Bhusal, the home ministry will send the current budget to the finance ministry by Thursday.
During the discussion, Home Minister Khand urged to move ahead with the election work in a concentrated manner and said that the Ministry of Finance was aware of the pressure being put on it.
Finance Minister Sharma had informed the Ministry of Finance about the pressures on the election and requested it to provide information on urgent issues.
Home Minister Teknarayan Pandey, Finance Secretary Madhu Marasini, Chief Joint Secretary of the Security and Coordination Division of the Home Ministry Mukunda Niraula, Chief of the Planning Division Dr. Employees of the concerned department including Bhusal were present.
