Maoist Central Committee Meeting to be held at Pragya Bhawan

The meeting of the Central Committee of the CPN (Maoist Center) will be held at Nepal Pragya Pratisthan in Kamaladi. Maoist has convened a meeting of the Central Committee on February 11 and 12.

The Maoists have stated that the central office bearers will be decided from the meeting. The CPN (Maoist Centre)’s constitution provides for a 15-member officials including a chairman, a senior vice-chairman, six vice-chairmen, a general secretary, two deputy general secretaries, three secretaries, and a treasurer.

The meeting will start at 11 am, according to the secretariat of Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’. The meeting of the Central Committee of the Maoists, which convened the Eighth National General Convention in the first week of January, was postponed due to various reasons. The Maoists have not been able to select the office bearers after the meeting was adjourned.

The first meeting held after the conclusion of the General Convention unanimously elected Pushpa Kamal Dahal‘ Prachanda’ as the party president. Though a meeting was called on January 9 to decide on the party officials, the meeting was postponed due to corona infection in the party central office staff and central leader.
