Don’t count the days saying it is time for transfer: Home Minister

Kathmandu, February 6

Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has directed the Chief District Officers to perform their duties effectively.

In a virtual meeting organized on the state of peace and security in the district, Minister Khand said that the time has come for me to be transferred and instructed to move towards fulfilling my responsibilities without counting the days.

He drew attention to the fact that the ministry has been able to retain the prisoners who have fulfilled their responsibilities well beyond the time stipulated by the ministry and suggested them to work effectively as long as they remain in the district.

As he is the representative of the government, he has the responsibility to mobilize the security forces in the district, he added.

Expressing gratitude for playing a role in strengthening peace and security despite being
infected during the Covid-19 epidemic, Minister Khand expressed confidence that better work would be done in the days to come.

Referring to the complaints of sluggish service flow in some administration offices, Minister
Khand also directed to create an environment for smooth flow of services to the people in a
timely manner.

He said that the ministry was positive about increasing the manpower in the offices with less manpower. He urged the people to take measures to reduce the number of road accidents especially in the hilly districts.

Home Secretary Teknarayan Pandey also directed to facilitate the services provided by the
administration office keeping in view the health and safety of the people and to review the
order regarding COVID-19 as per the circumstances.

During the meeting, a protg from one state informed about the situation. Kashiraj Dahal from Morang, Umesh Kumar Dhakal from Parsa, Bharat Mani Pandey from Makwanpur, Rishiram Tiwari from Rupandehi from Kaski, Jayaraj Acharya from Kaski, Khagendra Prasad Rijalika from Surkhet. He had an opinion about the situation.
