National Assembly elections begin in Madhes Pradesh

National Assembly election has started in Madhesh Pradesh. Voting for the two National
Assembly seats in Madhes started at 9 am on Wednesday. Voting is currently taking place at the Mahendra Narayan Nidhi Memorial Building. The voting is going on by the MPs of the state assembly and the chief deputy chief of the municipality. 372 people including 104 members of Madhes Provincial Assembly and 268 local level people’s representatives will cast their votes.

In Madhes Pradesh, there is coordination between the ruling coalition and the opposition CPN-UML and the Democratic Socialist Party. Besides, four candidates are in the fray for two seats in Madhes.
