South China border US fighter jet crashes

Kathmandu, January 25

A USS Carl Vinson warship has crashed on the South China Sea. The pilot of the US F-35
managed to get off the plane before crashing into the ship's landing deck, according to the US Pacific Fleet.

It is said that the accident took place during regular operation. Seven persons have been injured in the incident. Three of the injured were taken to a hospital in Manila, Philippines. His condition, including that of the pilot, is said to be stable.

The statement said that the accident was being investigated. This is the first time an F-35C has crashed. The U.S. Navy uses this single-engine stealth fighter for warship operations. The aircraft is used by the United States, Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom, Australia, Italy, Norway, the Netherlands and Israel.
