Mask Bank resumed operations in Jhapa

Kathmandu, January 25

The Bhadrapur branch of the Nepal Red Cross Society has re-opened the ‘Mask Bank’.

The branch has brought Mask Bank into operation from today as the high risk of Covid-19 has increased. Chairman of the sub-branch Gopal Giri said that the child network committee of Bhadrapur Municipality-9 and Ujyalo Children’s Club are also cooperating to run the bank.

According to him, the Red Cross had set up ‘Mask Bank’ on Shrawan 29 with the objective of reducing corona infection. The work, which was halted after the reduction of Covid’s risk, has been resumed from today.

The bank has been distributing masks free of cost by deploying volunteers from 7 am to 10 am. The bank has in the past provided both lifetime members of Records and various donors with cash for the purchase of masks and masks. He informed that the masks purchased from the bank are in the bank.

Giri said that those who do not wear masks are made accustomed to it and those who are
forced to walk without being able to buy masks are given free of cost. He also appealed to all to support this campaign.
