Minister for Education, Science and Technology Devendra Poudel has instructed Tribhuvan
University to get the results of the students in time. Poudel, who reached the Examination
Control Office in Balkhu on Tuesday to monitor the situation, instructed to get the results of the students in time without making any excuse.
“Students are complaining that we have not been able to take exams in some open
commissions. If the result is not published then the student will be deprived of that
opportunity. Get the result from the fast track,” said Vice Chancellor Poudel.
Although the results usually come after 3 months of the examination, the university has not released the results till 6 months. During the monitoring, Minister Poudel was informed that results could not be obtained in time due to lack of manpower, said Controller of Examinations Pushparaj Joshi.
“Even if temporary staff was brought to the service commission due to lack of manpower, the work of the service recipients had to be done on time,” the minister said. Stating that the country’s largest university has an old system, the Minister urged the administration to come up with a new plan for its improvement.
“Immediately take what you give to a Marxist student into the system. What will other
universities learn if the country’s largest university is not connected to the new technology?”
Minister Poudel said. Stating that the university is not in the system, he stressed on the need to be the Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Services for Students.
Meanwhile, Controller of Examinations Joshi said that the results would be released within
three months after the examination if there was sufficient manpower. According to Joshi, it will take a year for a new employee to learn the system when the old employee retires. He
admitted that out of 224 employees in the Office of the Controller of Examinations, 137 were working and the results could not be given on time.
