Kathmandu, January 24
The government of Province No. 1 is going to install CCTV cameras from Koshi Bridge to
Mechipul and from Rani of Biratnagar to Dharan.
Talking to media persons today, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Kedar Karki said that CCTV cameras would be installed in the main highway areas of the area keeping in view the security situation. He said that the required budget has been allocated for the installation of CCTV cameras. Excessive use of technology in peace and security will control crime.’
He said that the government was working in a scientific manner to make the people feel that they are with the people in terms of peace and security. “We are working to keep the state capital under technology surveillance,” he said.
He said that the state government would set up free legal aid centers targeting the poor,
disabled and women in 14 districts.
Minister Karki informed that the laws and regulations made by the state government would be made available to the state courts and bars within a few months.
