Kathmandu, January 24
The Metropolitan Traffic Police has designated a place for people with different abilities to get on and off the public transport for easy access and convenience.
The department has identified such a place in the old bus park in the first phase. Chief of the Metropolitan Traffic Police, Senior Superintendent Umesh Raj Joshi said that such vehicles and disability-friendly arrangements are being added to make the lives of those with different abilities easier.
The department has also put up a sign in the old bus park saying, “Only people with different abilities can get on and off.”
The Traffic Division has also requested the drivers, co-drivers and passengers of public transport to board and alight only from the designated places.
