Kathmandu, January 24
Manager of Sangrila Development Bank Ghorahi branch has been arrested in the case of Bikash Pun of Dang Ghorahi who was arrested in a case of fraud of Rs 50 Lakh.
The Dang District Police Office has arrested Sudarshan Bista, manager of Sangrila Development Bank in Mantawar of Ghorahi. A police team deployed from the District Police Office, Dang, arrested Manager Bista from the branch office. Dang District Police Office Superintendent of Police (SP) Suresh Prasad Kafle said that Bista was arrested from the office in the morning.
He said that he was arrested as he was seen assisting Bista in exchanging money of Pun who was caught in the scam. According to the police, Bista was released on bail on Sunday so that he could appear again tomorrow.
Pun, who has been absconding for a long time, was arrested by the CIB police team in
Kathmandu a few days ago and is being kept in custody.
Pun was arrested in Kathmandu by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on the basis of a complaint filed by Tilak Thapa of Banganga-4 in Kapilbastu district. Police are investigating on the basis of a complaint lodged by Kapil Bastuka Thapa against Ghorahi Sub-Metropolis-15 alleging fraud of Rs. 495 thousand.
