Kathmandu Metropolitan City warns to take action against schools that open in defiance

Kathmandu, January 21

Kathmandu Metropolitan City has warned to take action against the schools that open against the government’s decision. Education Department official Ram Prasad Subedi informed that some private schools in Kathmandu have been instructed to close immediately due to complaints.

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, on the recommendation of the CCMC, had decided to close the school from Poush 27 to Magh 15 after the third wave of corona infection spread rapidly.

Department official Subedi said that there were complaints that some schools within the
metropolis were opening against the decision. He said there were complaints that some schools were being opened against the government’s decision in such an epidemic. We have instructed to close immediately. If not, we will take action. "

Official Subedi informed that some private schools in wards 15 and 18 of the corporation have been operating.
