Australia will play a title defense against New Zealand in the ICC T20 World Cup to be played at home in October-November.
According to the schedule released by the International Cricket Council (ICC), Australia and New Zealand are in the same group of Super 12.
The T20 World Cup will be held in Australia from October 16 to November 13. The games of
Super 12 will be held from October 22.
The match between Australia and New Zealand will be played on October 22 at the Sydney
Cricket Ground.
Group A of the Super 12 will have Australia, New Zealand, England, Afghanistan and two teams from the first round.
Similarly, South Africa and Bangladesh along with India and Pakistan are in Group B of Super 12. The other two teams will come from the first round.
The match between India and Pakistan will be played on October 23 at Melbourne Stadium.
Similarly, Sri Lanka and Namibia are in Group A of the first round. The first leg between Sri
Lanka and Namibia will be played on October 16 at the Cardinia Park Stadium in Geelong.
In this group, there will be two teams selected from the global qualifiers. Scotland and the West Indies are in the other group, while the two teams from the global qualifiers will be.
Oman and Zimbabwe will have global qualifiers for the World Cup in Australia and 2-2 teams will be selected for the World Cup from competitions in both the countries. Nepal is playing a global qualifier in Oman next February.
