Flight affected due to inclement weather

Due to inclement weather, the country’s aviation has been affected. Due to the influence of the westerly winds, thick fog and mist / fog have been covering the skies across the country since this morning.

Domestic flights from Tribhuvan International Airport have been affected while international
flights are operating regularly. According to Bhola Prasad Guragain, general manager of the
airport, flights have been particularly affected at airports in the eastern Terai region of the
country. At present, flights to Biratnagar, Janakpur and Simara have not been completed.

According to the latest details of the airport, flights have resumed at Nepalgunj, Bhairahawa and Pokhara airports. According to the airline company, some airports have not opened yet due to adverse weather.

Buddha Air’s information officer Dipendra Kumar Karna informed that the flight was delayed for three hours due to late opening of some airports. According to him, Bharatpur Airport is open at 11:35 am and Biratnagar Airport is open only at 2 pm. It is said that regular flights are being operated at the open airports.
