According to the Supply Management Branch, 1 million syringes of Tatopani subsidized by the Chinese government have already entered Nepal. Of the 2 million syringes donated by China, 1 million have entered through the border, but 1 million are yet to arrive.
Badebabu Thapa, senior officer of the supply management branch, said that about 25 million syringes are in the process of coming. Syringes used for vaccination against corona have a stock of 4.684 million. He said that the government has already signed an agreement for the purchase of 24 million syringes. Similarly, 1.2 million syringes are in the process of coming through COVAX.
