”The severity of the transition could lead to another situation by the third week of Magh.”

Kathmandu, January 18

The coronavirus infection rate is increasing in the far western states. In the last one month,
more than 100 people have been infected daily, but the number has recently increased from two hundred to three hundred and fifty.

According to the provincial health directorate, an additional 345 people were confirmed
infected on Monday alone. Of them, 154 have returned from India and the rest are 191 from different districts. Looking at the infection rate, it seems that the corona has spread to the community level.

According to Dr. Nirajan Dutta Sharma, senior physician at Seti Provincial Hospital, corona has spread to the far west. At present, one out of every five people tested here is infected. If health safety standards are not followed, the number will gradually increase and another situation will emerge by the third week of magh, says Dr Sharma. Dr. Sharma writes in his own words:

Corona virus infection is spreading rapidly in the far western region. One out of every five people tested positive for the virus. However, the situation is not as severe as before. The symptoms are also different. In the past, there were symptoms of loss of taste, odor, loss of appetite, dry cough and fever, but now there is more problem of vomiting, coughing and body aches. Fever is bound to come. Infections are also seen in people who do not have a fever but have such symptoms. If one person is infected, it is likely to spread to almost all family members.

According to the World Health Organization, it is difficult to say whether it is corona or not, as there are different symptoms for each person. So, is everyone who comes to our hospital a corona? We are checking accordingly. The number of infected people has been increasing for only a few days now. In the second or third week of Magh, the situation seems to be different. The patient has come a lot. Some people are coming for health check-ups because of seasonal flu. How is the corona spread at the community level? That is known only after two-three weeks.

So far, no serious health problems have been reported in the infected. Unlike the Delta variant, there are no patients in the ICU who need to be given oxygen. Even so, owning one is still beyond the reach of the average person. However, the pressure of patients suffering from severe body aches, nausea, sneezing, persistent cough and diarrhea is on the rise. Severe symptoms are rare. How complicated is the situation in the third week of Magh? My understanding is that you know how to spread inside. Most of the patients from urban areas are coming to us now. It can be assumed that the infection has spread to the community level as everyone in the same family has the same problem. But the situation is not coming from far away yet.

Due to the rapid spread of the infection, it has become necessary for everyone to take health precautions. In fact, it is worse than worthless, it consumes time and resources but returns no sales. The idea that corona occurs only when you have a dry cough should be removed. If you see any of the symptoms mentioned above, get tested immediately and stay safe. It is important to know that corona may be infected even if you do not have a fever. As the infection has spread at the local level, let’s not be under the illusion that only those who have returned from abroad get the infection. Therefore, it is mandatory to wear a mask, wash hands with soap and water, maintain physical distance and get tested in time if any symptoms appear.

On the plus side, it eliminates unneeded hospitalization. He is also getting better by taking
medicine at home. However, if the number of critically ill patients increases as the infection
rate increases in the Delta variant, hospitals may not be able to cope. Infections that require ICUs, ventilators, and oxygen can be difficult to support.
