Kathmandu, January 18
There will be two consecutive public holidays in Madhesh Pradesh.
The state government has given public leave on Tuesday to celebrate the name of the state
Madhes and the capital Janakpurdham.
The state government had earlier decided to grant public leave on the occasion of Madhes
Sacrifice Day on Wednesday.
The state government has been giving public leave on this day in remembrance of the Madhes movement that started on Magh 5 2063 BS.
This time, the state government has decided to celebrate Sacrifice Day at Rajbiraj. The state government has distributed Rs 300,000 to the families of 57 people who were martyred in the Madhes movement on this day.
