Government urges India to stop unilateral road expansion in Nepali territory

The Government of Nepal has made public its views on Limpiyadhura, Kalapani and Lipulek east of the Mahakali River.

At a press conference held at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology on Sunday, Government Spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information
Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said that the Government of Nepal is firm and clear on the fact that Limpiyadhura, Lipulek and Kalapani east of the Mahakali River are integral parts of Nepal.

He said, “The Government of Nepal has been urging the Government of India to stop the
construction / expansion of any kind of unilateral road through Nepali territory.” He said that the Government of Nepal was committed to resolving the border issue between the two countries through diplomatic means on the basis of historical treaties and maps and evidence in line with the spirit and spirit of close and friendly relations between Nepal and India.
