Kathmandu, January 16
Nada is in favor of the Batas group, which is embroiled in a land dispute over the Narayanhiti Palace Museum. In a statement issued on Sunday, the NADA Automobile Association of Nepal (NADA) urged the government to treat businessmen with dignity.
Nada has accused the government of inviting the private sector to tender in the public-private partnership (PP) model but expelling them after completing all the necessary procedures.
In the tenders called by the government, Batas Group participated in the legal process
determined by the government and got permission to operate the cafeteria on the condition of paying the rent fixed by the government. It is a natural process for the private sector to do business with the permission of the government itself. Attempts have been made to define the Batas group as a criminal group, saying that it would be illegal for the Batas group to carry out its responsibilities even after getting permission from the government. ”This is unjust,” said a statement issued by NADA president Dhruv Thapa. We believe in being punished. ‘
NADA claims that the government’s attempt to demoralize the entire private sector by unilaterally blaming only the entrepreneurs has a negative impact on the investment climate in Nepal.
NADA has demanded the government to immediately stop such acts and treat the businessmen with dignity.
