Kathmandu, January 13
Son of Sunil Sharma, director of Nobel Medical College, cremated. The students have burnt the idol demanding reduction of additional fees of MBBS.
Before burning the idol, the students had made a pyre and walked around the hospital. Akhil Krantikari central member Abhimanyu Yadav said that the idol was set on fire after the students did not show interest in addressing the demand.
Students’ organizations and MBBS students had earlier staged a sit-in protest in Biratnagar against the college’s demand for additional fees for MBBS students. Also, the students are constantly performing.
The college had earlier barred MBBS students from entering the classroom due to non-payment of additional fees. Students who did not pay the fees were kicked out of the classroom and even stopped at the gate.
