Letter for action to the current executive director and others involved

At the direction of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Prem Bahadur Ale, the ministry has written to the outgoing executive director of Narayanhiti Durbar Museum, Bhesnarayan Dahal, and others involved for action.

After Minister Ale decided to send a letter to the police and authorities for action, the ministry sent letters to both the places for action.

According to Dr. Tok Raj Pandey, Joint Secretary and Spokesperson of the Ministry, the Ministry has written a letter to the outgoing Executive Director Dahal and the operator of B-Manage of Batas Group for action as per Article 147 of the Criminal Code, 2074 BS.

The ministry has sent a letter to the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority and the Police Headquarters to take action against the public property. In the letter, the outgoing executive director, Dahal, called for action to be taken for “failing to promote the protection of public property”.

Article 147 of the Criminal Code, 2074 BS states that national and public property cannot be encroached upon without prior approval. If found guilty, the offender could face up to three years in prison or a fine of up to Rs 30,000 or both.

Similarly, the ministry has also sent a letter to the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of
Authority to take necessary action as there is corruption in the operation of canteen-cafeteria in the Durbar Museum premises.

In a letter sent to the ministry by the ministry, Dahal said that the government has not been able to fulfill its responsibilities efficiently and the management has not been able to stop the encroachment. Chief Executive Director of Naranhiti Durbar Museum Bhesnarayan Dahal resigned from his post on Tuesday and his resignation has been accepted.
