Ram Kumar Subedi and his wife Madhavi Subedi, who were arrested on the charge of being
middlemen in the Lalita Niwas land case in Baluwatar, have been released.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) of Nepal Police released them on bail on Tuesday.
They have been handed over to their relatives on the condition that the bureau will present
them at the required time. According to the Bureau, Ram Kumar Subedi and his wife Madhavi, who were arrested on the charge of instrument-related offense, were released after the Kathmandu District Public Prosecutor’s Office returned the file reluctantly.
Police had arrested the Subedi couple on Poush 6 on charges of instrument-related offenses. The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority has also registered a case against Subedi in a special court.
