The Lalitpur Metropolitan City has set a target of vaccinating 44,000 students against corona in a week.
The vaccination program will start from 10:30 am to 4 pm on Tuesday. This program will run till Magh 2. The vaccination program will not be conducted on Saturday.
According to Ganesh Aryal, Chief Administrative Officer of Lalitpur Metropolitan City, the vaccination program will cover about 44,000 students in the age group of 12 to 17 years studying in private and community schools in the city.
The metropolis has designated schools with more than 200 students as vaccination centers. Students from schools with less than 200 students will have to go to the nearest school and get vaccinated. Aryal said that this was done for technical manpower management and facilitation. Students will need to carry a school ID card or other age-appropriate ID card when going for vaccination.
According to the metropolis, schools in wards 1 to 4 of the metropolis will be vaccinated on Poush 27. Similarly, on 28th Ward no. Vaccination program will be conducted in 5 to 8 schools.
This program will be conducted in some schools of wards 9 to 14 and 15 on Poush 29, on 30th Ward no. The rest of the 15 schools and ward no. The metropolis has informed that arrangements have been made to vaccinate against corona in schools from 16 to 21 and in schools from ward no. 22 to 29 on Sunday.
Chief of Lalitpur Municipal Corporation Chiribabu Maharjan has appealed to all parents to involve their children in the vaccination program and help the school family in the vaccination program.
