Batas is a conglomerate firm that primarily operates in the areas of automobiles, finance,
remittance, retail, energy, travel & tourism, FMCG, and a variety of other industries. An organization of more than 16 different companies, partner of various renowned international and local brands (like Eicher, Fiat, Petronas, Hyosung, Globatt, Himal Remit), and Network of more than 1500 nodes, Batas is expanding—expanding on the foundations of its strong values, expanding with a clear vision and well-defined strategies, expanding with its team, and expanding to contribute to the nation which is written in their company’s profile. Their vision and mission appear to be beneficial to the country, but their ambitious plans seem to be harmful to the country’s cultural and heritage sites.
Among various investment made by Batas Organization, Pashupati dharmashala is also one
where the group has operated hospitality business charging upto 7000 per night. Does
dharmshala reflects such expensive price range? No, basically dharmashala are for those
pilgrim’s who cannot afford expensive hotels. Pashupati dharmashala, agreement with india
broken, misuse of Kafle & Lawyers Associates, and now Hotel inside Narayanhiti durbar are some of the controversial steps taken by the Batas group.
Recently the construction of restaurant inside the Narayanhiti palace area has been demolished after it came into controversy in the media. The Batas Group has been criticized for the manner in which it was granted permission to operate a restaurant on ten ropanis of property in the museum’s western wing.
The group was illegally dismantling the old garden buildings by erecting additional concrete
structures.
According to the previous agreement, a tender offer was opened for the operation of a canteen for visitors and personnel, as well as the construction of toilets on only 6 anna and 3 paisa of property, which included the red house.
The tender for the construction of the structures was won by Hotel Ananda, BPS Leasing, and Batas Group Management. The organization sparked outrage when it began additional building work on the old royal grounds, taking an extra 10 ropanis of garden and army bunker site.
Beside this, the Batas group has actively worked on improving the corporate social
responsibility of the country. We will surely cover some good deeds of Batas group. Till then, let us know what you have understood about the Batas group.
