Entrepreneur’s protest against student movement at Nobel

Kathmandu, January 9

Business people have protested against the agitation of students at Nobel Medical College.

Noble Medical College has demanded more fees from the students enrolled for MBBS studies than the medical education commission has set. Businessmen staged a protest on Sunday morning against the student movement.

Students affiliated to various parties have also supported the students who are in the second week movement. MBBS students and student organizations are protesting daily. Students were also preparing for the demonstration on Sunday morning. At the same time, the businessmen protested saying, ”You can’t kill daily needs of us, you can’t protest inside the hospital.”

Stating that there is a problem for the businessmen due to the lockdown in the medical college, they have urged to make the agitation centered on the state bodies. ”The movement of Nobel Medical College students should be carried out in the right place, in the CDO office, in the ministry, wherever it is done,” said one of the protesting businessmen.

Students’ organizations have said that the movement against the Nobel administration will take place in Nobel. Stating that their movement was with the Nobel administration, the student organizations accused the director of Nobel Medical College, Sunil Sharma, of sending people to disrupt the student movement. ANNISU leader Navin Pahadi said that the hospital-centric agitation was being carried out to address the legitimate demands of the students.
