Kathmandu, January 6
A meeting of a high-level mechanism is being held to assist in running the government. A
meeting of the mechanism led by Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel is underway at the
PM’s residence in Baluwatar.
According to a Baluwatar source, the meeting is discussing Prime Minister Sher Bahadur
Deuba’s visit to India and the upcoming National Assembly elections.
The meeting will also discuss the issue of ending the obstruction in the House of
Representatives by the main opposition CPN-UML. In the same context, Poudel had a meeting with UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli on Wednesday.
