Former President urges non-resident Nepalis to invest in agriculture, hydropower and tourism

Kathmandu, January 5

Former President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav has urged non-resident Nepalis to invest in Nepal’s agriculture, hydropower and tourism sectors.

Stating that the topography of Nepal is conducive for the development of agriculture,
hydropower and tourism sector, former President Yadav requested the non-resident Nepalis to get easy return by investing in the same sector.

Speaking at a program organized by Idea for Nepal in Kathmandu on Wednesday, he said that it would be appropriate to invest in the sector according to Nepal’s resource base. Former President Yadav also praised Idea for Nepal, saying that it is helping Nepalis to find employment in the country by investing in Nepal’s nature-friendly sector.

He said that former president Yadav’s investment in nature-friendly sector would not adversely affect the environment.
