In Gandaki, three candidates of the ruling coalition registered their nominations

In Gandaki, three candidates of the ruling coalition have registered their nominations for the National Assembly. Kamala Pant of the Nepali Congress, Suresh Ale magar of the CPN-Maoist Center and Bhuvan Sunar have registered their nominations on behalf of the coalition.

Three candidates of CPN-UML had registered their nominations on Tuesday at 11 o'clock. According to UML state secretary Dhananjay Dawadi, Punya Prasad Poudel of Kaski, Leela Thanet of Nawalpur and Arjun Kumar Sunam of Syangja have registered nominations from UML.

Pant was earlier a central member of the Nepali Congress and is also a former MP.
UCPN (M) candidate Suresh has been elected as the current central member while in the first Constituent Assembly election of 2064 BS, he had defeated Govinda Raj Joshi of the Nepali Congress by nearly 7,000 votes. He had joined Mohan Baidya’s party when the Maoists split.

Later, he returned to the Maoists along with Ram Bahadur Thapa. Another candidate Bhuvan Sunar has come through Dalit movement. He was close to Baburam Bhattarai in the Maoists and later joined the Maoists.

Leaders of all the ruling parties had reached Gandaki to register their nominations. The ruling coalition is leading with 700 votes in the National Assembly election, which will have state assembly members and local level chief and deputy chief voters.
