Kathmandu, January 4
Police have arrested 17 people on the charge of drug trafficking. Among the arrested are two persons serving their sentences in Sindhuli District Jail.
According to the Drug Control Bureau, Guddu Gupta Nike, an Indian national, is serving an 18- year sentence for drug trafficking.
Police claim that he has been dealing drugs from the jail with Santosh Syangtan, who is also serving a five-year sentence, who is also a telephone driver.
According to the bureau, Gupta and Syangtan have been transferred to Rautahat District Jail.
