Pakistan cricketer Hafeez announces retirement

Kathmandu, January 3

Pakistan veteran all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has announced his retirement from
international cricket.

Hafeez announced his retirement on Monday, ending an 18-year-long international cricket
career.
Hafeez, who made his international debut in ODI cricket against Zimbabwe in 2003, last played against Australia in the T20 World Cup semifinals.

Hafeez, 41, has played 55 Tests, 218 ODIs and 119 T20 internationals for Pakistan. He has
scored 12,780 runs in all formats.
He is the fourth Pakistani player to receive the Man of the Match award. He has received 32
Man of the Match awards. He is followed by Shahid Afridi, Wasim Akram and Inzman ul Haq.
Hafeez has scored 3,652 runs in Tests, 6,614 runs in ODIs and 2,514 runs in T20s.

He has taken 53 wickets in Tests, 139 in ODIs and 61 in T20s.
