Acting Chief Administrative Officer of Jajarkot Bheri Municipality Dal Bahadur Gharti and 14 others have been arrested for gambling. According to Karnali State Police Office spokesperson Madhav Prasad Shrestha, they were arrested from Gairikhali near Jajarkot district headquarters.
The District Police Office, Jajarkot had arrested them at 2 pm on Saturday. Among those arrested is Shashi Budha, president of Nepali Congress Bheri Municipality. Chairman Budha is also the ward chairman. Spokesperson Shrestha said that 200,000 rupees in cash was also recovered from them.
