Russian satellite unmanned in space, risk of falling to earth

Kathmandu, January 2

Russia recently launched a rocket-launched spy satellite into space. Due to which Russia had to face sharp criticism from countries including the United States. It is said that the spy satellite is deteriorating and becoming uncontrollable in space and there is a possibility of it falling to the earth at any time.

Scientists around the world are worried that the 20-ton satellite could land on Earth or collide with other rockets in space. It is estimated that the satellite could cause major damage if it falls to the ground or crashes.

The rooster’s upper booster failed during flight and the satellite could not reach its right orbit and became uncontrollable. Scientists say the unmanned satellite and its booster weigh about 20 tons and are likely to land on Earth in the next few weeks. But the Russian military’s high command has not yet commented on the allegations.

Russia sent a new version of the satellite into space last Monday via the Angara A5 space
rocket. Russia has claimed that the launch from Plattsk space port was successful. The Russian rocket is considered crucial for launching reconnaissance satellites, weapons and satellites needed for navigation.
