Due to the influence of western winds, it is raining in most parts of the country today and snow is falling in high hilly and mountainous areas. This trend will continue till tonight, said Ganga Nagarkoti, a meteorologist at the Department of Water and Meteorology. “The system has been gradually weakening since Thursday,” she said.
Currently, there is light to moderate rain in most parts of the country, while light snow is falling in high hilly and mountainous areas. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in many parts of the country at night with normal to completely cloudy weather. Light to moderate snowfall is also expected in many parts of the country’s high hills and mountains.
The department is issuing warnings and advice for the next 24 hours. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in most parts of the country with normal to complete change. Due to this weather system, mountaineering / air / transportation and other daily life of the people may be affected.
