CPN (Maoist Centre) General Convention: Various suggestions from delegates

The political report submitted by Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal at the Eighth General
Convention of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) and the legislative amendment submitted by leader Dev Gurung were discussed in 25 different groups on Tuesday.

There is a program to submit suggestions to the group on Wednesday through group
discussion. As the leaders are participating in discussions in different groups, the suggestions will be incorporated and the document will be passed with modifications. After the discussion in the document, the issue of leadership selection will move forward.

The team leader has 15 minutes to submit suggestions. A meeting of the leaders held on
Tuesday morning gave 15 minutes to the leaders of each group to make suggestions on the
political report and legislative amendment proposal.

The group leader is scheduled to present his suggestions from 1 pm on Wednesday. The
Maoists have formed 25 groups in different provinces and clusters for the discussion.

Provision has been made for 35 percent representation of women, 15 percent representation of Dalits and 5 percent representation of Muslims in the Central Committee. 20 percent representation of youth under 40 from all groups has been made mandatory.

According to the total members of the Central Committee, it has been proposed to nominate 10 percent central members.
