Light to moderate rain is prevailing in most parts of the country at present and light snow is falling in high hilly and mountainous areas.
According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rains is expected in most parts of the country due to the effect of western low-pressure system. It is snowing in Chandragiri of Kathmandu and it is raining all over the valley.
The department has requested to take necessary precaution to avoid the effects of cold and
snowfall as the weather system may affect the daily life of the people including
mountaineering, air and transportation.
According to the latest details of the department, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu is 3.2 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is 15.2 degrees Celsius.
