Kathmandu, December 29.
The closed session of the 8th National General Convention of the CPN-Maoist is scheduled to continue today.
Most of the groups have completed discussions on ideological and political documents and
draft legislation. The rest of the group is preparing to conclude the discussion by 12 noon today. The time for group discussion has been extended till 12 noon today.
A day-long group discussion was held on the ideological and political document titled ‘Nepali Path of Socialism in the 21st Century’ presented by party president Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and the draft legislation presented by standing committee member Dev Prasad Gurung.
According to the Maoist Center, the delegates participating in all the group discussions
expressed their support for the ideological and political document presented by Chairman
Dahal and made various suggestions.
There is a program to present the results of the group discussion at Pragya Bhawan, Kamaladi from 1 pm today. The head of the group will present the findings of the group discussion. Each group leader is given 15 minutes to present.
