CPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ”Prachanda” has said that the US is preparing for a new war. According to Prachanda, there are indications that the US is preparing to go to war not only for itself but also for its allies.
Prachanda has mentioned this in the political report presented in the closed session of the
eighth general convention.
Stating that the United States has a special military partnership with Britain and Australia to stop China in the Indo-Pacific region, Prachanda said that the United States has plans to expand and strengthen military bases in different countries. Prachanda’s report states that the same strategy worked behind the US strengthening of relations with India.
”There are indications that the United States is preparing not only for itself but also for its allies to go to war,” the report said. This phenomenon, which has emerged as a new Cold War, does not necessarily mean that imperialism will not move in the direction of its own crisis by giving birth to a new war.’
Prachanda is of the view that the US is trying to intensify the competition with China and Russia with the Cold War mentality. A recent statement from the Pentagon stated that ”the United States is engaged in a war of attrition.” To counter China in the Indo-Pacific region, the United States plans to forge special military partnerships with the United Kingdom and Australia, as well as expand and strengthen military bases in various countries.
