Kathmandu, December 27
Civil society leaders and activists have requested the government to investigate Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Rana for alleged money laundering and unlawful activities.
On Sunday, Govinda KC and Narayan Wagle, among others, filed a complaint with the
Department of Money Laundering Investigation with the demand.
Rana has been embroiled in a series of issues in recent months, with allegations that he
violated judicial independence in order to gain unfair benefits from a number of parties. Rana, on the other hand, is adamantly opposed to the demand.
