Binod Chaudhary close to victory in Madhesi quota

Billionaire industrialist Binod Chaudhary, who has been nominated for the post of open
Madhesi central member of the Nepali Congress, is close to victory. In the ongoing
counting of votes at the Central Office, Sanepa, Chaudhary is in the second position
with 2023 votes out of 4304 votes. On the open Madhesi side, 23 candidates are vying
for five posts.

According to the Election Committee, out of 4665 votes cast, the remaining 361 votes
are being counted. In the result of 4304, Binod Chaudhary secured the victory by
remaining in the second position.

Ajay Chaurasia has taken the lead in the first place with 2330 votes. In third place is
Chandra Mohan Yadav with 1969 votes. Mahendra Kumar Roy in fourth place got 1832
votes and Dinesh Kumar Yadav in fifth place got 1809 votes. Subhash Chandra Yadav,
who is in the sixth position, is following the last five with 1746 votes.
