Chairman of the CPN-Maoist Central Student Special District Committee Ranjit Tamang
has said that the door of internal election is open for the party
After the election for the CPN (Maoist Centre) office in Bagmati failed to reach an
agreement, Chairman Tamang said that there were indications that elections would be
held at the National Conference as well.
He said, “With the election of the leadership in Bagmati Pradesh, the door of election
has opened in the party. Now elections can also be held in the party’s central
committee. The possibility of holding elections at the National Conference has also
increased.”
Stating that there are many aspirants in the party’s central committee, he said that the
opinion that the election is going to be easy is getting stronger. He said that Bagmati
Pradesh has opened the way for those who hold such a vote by holding elections.
Stating that factions or groups have been present in the Maoist party since the past
even though there was no election, he said that it would not make much sense for the
party to be divided or different groups would be formed and affected due to the election.
“There are many groups and factions within the party. Even if there is no election, there
are factions within the party. There will be two factions during the election. It would be
easier to manage two factions than a myriad of groups and chaos,” he said.
