Two ordinances approved by the House of Representatives amid UML’s obstruction

Two ordinances have been approved in the meeting of the House of Representatives
held on Tuesday amidst loud slogans of the main opposition party CPN-UML.
Ordinance 2078 to amend some Acts against Sexual Violence and Ordinance to amend
some Acts related to Criminal Offenses and Criminal Procedure have been approved by
Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dilendra Prasad Badu.

Nepal Mazdur Kisan Party MP Prem Suwal had presented a notice of protest against
both the ordinances in the meeting. But the proposal was rejected by a majority. After
the ordinance was approved, the meeting of the House of Representatives has been
postponed indefinitely.
