Real Madrid, the top team in Spanish La Liga, have been held to a goalless draw by Cadiz in the relegation zone.
After a draw at home, Real lost the opportunity to widen the gap with second-placed Sevilla. Real tops the list with 43 points from 18 games. Sevilla, who have played one game less, have 37 points. Cadiz, on the other hand, is in 19th place with 14 points from 18 games.
Third-placed Real Betis lost 3-2 to Athletic Bilbao. Betis has 33 points from 18 games. Bilbao climbed to ninth place with 24 points from 18 games.
