Concerns over Teacher Service Commission exams clash with SEE

Kathmandu, December 20

The Teacher Service Commission’s examination and the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) are likely to clash. Therefore, the Teachers Service Commission is preparing to discuss the examination schedule with the National Examination Board.
The Teachers Service Commission has decided to conduct the secondary level examination from March 29. The SEE exam schedule is yet to be made public.

However, spokesperson of the Teachers Service Commission Sudarshan Marahatta said that
they are preparing to hold discussions with the Board of Examinations as there is a possibility of competition with SEE. He told, “We have discussed about the possibility of contesting the exam, we are also discussing whether to discuss it with the examination board.” He said that the teachers who are preparing the students for the SEE exams will be busy with their own exams so that there would be no problem in conducting the exams.

In the past, the SEE exam was held in April. Last year, due to the Corona epidemic, the SEE exam could not be held physically and the results were published based on internal assessment.
